My PHD

Here's a picture of us so that Jack can’t call PHD a mystery man anymore. (Gotta love those self-portrait cell phone pictures!)

And here’s a little more about him…

~ I met him at shul. (Really can you think of a better place to meet a nice Jewish man?)

~ He is from Chicago.

~ He invited LO on our first “date”.

~ He is a college professor and he must be a pretty darn good one because just about any time we go out anywhere, former students come up to him and tell them how much they enjoyed his classes.

~ He has a daughter who’s Hebrew name is the same as LO’s Hebrew name.

~ He is an excellent cook. In fact, he is so good that I haven’t had to make a meal in ages.

~ I knew I was destined to fall in love with him the first time I heard him say the Shema and the V'Ahavta with LO.

~ He loves Israel and spends at least a month there every year. (Aliyah with him is most certainly a possibility.)

~ He has a PHD which made it easy to identify him using that on my blog. (However, it is also stands for a nickname that I gave him even before I blogged about him.)

~ When I met him, he had only said "I love you" to FOUR women in his entire life. I became the FIFTH one.

~ When I made the decision to move in with him, he basically told me that we could re-decorate and re-do anything in the house that I wanted to.

~ He promises me that we will live long wonderful lives together. I asked him if I could have that in writing. He said yes...complete with two Rabbis and two witnesses.

Yep, I'm keeping him...for ALWAYS. (And LO approves!)

He sounds like a wonderful man! Make sure he knows that if he doesn't treat you right, he'll be harassed by dozens of your online friends!

Yes, he sounds great and since I always judge character by photos of CHIN portions, he looks great. :)

Best Wishes.

Jack - Well, we can't all be as handsome as YOU.

BN - He read the comments and laughed. I am sure he won't risk making any of my blog friends angry.

Tamara - It is a nice CHIN isn't it?

RM - Yep he's a gem (and I guess that makes me one too!)

VJ - familiar huh? You know how the saying goes that all us chinese look alike? Maybe all Jewish men look alike? LOL

EK, Ro, KRG, and Pearl - thanks!

Well, your friends are happy for you too, of course. But we do have one complaint....we hardly see you anymore. You are so busy being in love we never see you and must sustain ourselves on your happy stories. We are all so happy for you. And yes we see you and your very smiling face. Did you blogger friends know that mother and daughter can sing?? In perfect Hebrew yet??? Last year we did a duet together and both our significant other stood proud and amazed.
After 13 almost 14 years I still hate leaving my husband or daughter (FOO= friend of Orienta) to be with friends or other so trust me I understand. Just stay in love and remember I can cook and entertain for the wedding. You are both welcome to honeymoon in your wing at our house!
kisses

El - you are so funny. I know you guys are happy for us and I'm sorry that I haven't been around as much as I was pre-PHD...you could always come to Shabbat services with us! ;-) PHD laughed when I told him we were going to honeymoon at your house.
