- In a world full of sterotypes, I love that I break several of them...I'm 100% Chinese but at 5'8" I'm considered tall...I'm Jewish and almost every time I go to shul or the kosher market, there is at least one person (usually more) who stares at me in disbelief...my daughter (LO or Little Orieyenta) is adopted from China but between the two of us (since we live in Miami) we speak more Spanish than we do Chinese and as odd as it may seem, we speak more Hebrew than we do Spanish.

You have a pineapple garden? That's cool! And now I have someone to be weird with. Growing up we had sugar cane plants. We would pick it fresh and chew on it. Everyone thought it was odd to grow sugar cane, but for me it's a great memory.
