Are we a trend?
Was anyone else surprised last week when they watched the season premiere of "Grey's Anatomy"? Did you know that Sandra Oh's character Christina Yang is Jewish?
Maybe LO and I have started a new trend.

I think it is time to toss the phrase "You don't look Jewish," out the window.
Greys Anatomy must have some Jewish writers. Remember the episode with the orthodox girl (who swore like a truck driver but needed to be blessed by a rabbi before surgery!) who needed a porcine valve.
They seem to be doing something right, it's about time the world knows we aren't all "vanilla"!
My father is first generation Irish and my mother is Ashkenazi...I get such looks with my red hair, pale skin, green eyes and freckles. No, I am not part Leprechun! :)
In a world full of sterotypes, I love that I break several of them...I'm 100% Chinese but at 5'8" I'm considered tall...I'm Jewish and almost every time I go to shul or the kosher market, there is at least one person (usually more) who stares at me in disbelief...my daughter (LO or Little Orieyenta) is adopted from China but between the two of us (since we live in Miami) we speak more Spanish than we do Chinese and as odd as it may seem, we speak more Hebrew than we do Spanish.
