Long voting lines = absentee ballot for me

After several attempts to vote early, I finally gave up on the long lines. I am of the opinion that waiting 3 to 4 hours to vote is ludicrous. (BTW Kendall, the area mentioned in the article, happens to be the suburb of Miami that we live in.) I don't think Florida will ever be able to shake the whole voting nightmare thing. And I wonder if my absentee ballot will end up being a part of another voting nightmare...only time will tell.

And if you are wondering who I voted for...all I will say is that I stand with Israel.

Since we're traveling on our bus, we had our ballots mailed to some friends in the area we knew we'd be in. We did that during our bus year, as well and I have to say, once you go absentee, you won't go back!

Since I moved to Ohio, I alwys do absentee ballots here. (In NY I had to give a valid reason, here I don't.)

The big advantage of absentee is being able to sit down at my PC and research all the candidates and issues instead of walking into the voting booth ans squinting at all the judges and ballot initatives and trying to make up my mind on the spot.

Well, from one swing stater to another, Shabbat Shalom!

If you stand with Israel... I presume that means that you're trying not to give away for whom you voted...

I heard about those excessively long lineups in Florida. What are all the seniors going to do? They need to take their meds, they need to go to the early-bird specials at the buffet restaurants...
All kidding aside, is the state going to lose voters because of these massive lineups?

I thought I'd beat the rush by going to vote at 6:30 a.m. - but it was all the pre-work-day people! So although it wasn't terrible, it was by no means a speedy experience.
