I rather liked it because it made me feel like one of the big kids!

I think in the long run it's definitely a good thing. It teaches the kids how to be responsible for their own belongings -- keep track of stuff so that they aren't leaving them behind all the time -- and how to be organized and responsible for their homework, writing it down, etc. That took me years to learn.

You can try sitting down with LO and coming up with a fun way for her to keep track of her homework -- maybe visit a scrapbooking/craft store and making a cute wall calendar for her together; stuff like that. It'll be fun!Marlihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17703947056495998405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29489292.post-70961963349685736722007-08-23T14:11:00.000-04:002007-08-23T14:11:00.000-04:00They do the same thing here for years now. It used to be there was a chair who oversaw the homework burden. Then that postion was taken out of the budget. Now the teachers vie for who is more important by who gives the most homework. private school is my answerGorgeous Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11986629254634759841noreply@blogger.com
